‘I Remain Bullish On The Upside’: Jack Yi Bets On Bitcoin Rebound From $75,500 Retracement

Bitcoin has shown resilience in recent trading, with the flagship cryptocurrency changing hands at approximately $78,196, marking a marginal increase over the past 24-hour period. The asset recorded an intraday low of $77,320 and a high of $79,340, according to market data.
The broader digital asset market currently commands a total capitalization of $2.63 trillion, representing a slight contraction of 0.20%, though trading activity has intensified considerably with 24-hour volume surging over 80% to $73.47 billion.
Market participants are closely monitoring key technical levels as the cryptocurrency approaches significant resistance zones.
Analysts note that Bitcoin has yet to sustainably breach the $81,000 threshold, with expectations building for a brief retracement before a potential advance toward the $86,000 region. Seasoned traders have indicated that such a pullback would present strategic entry opportunities rather than cause for concern.
Jack Yi, founder of Liquid Capital, suggested that a retracement toward the $75,500 level would constitute a favorable position for renewed exposure, maintaining an optimistic outlook for the subsequent upward trajectory.
Yi, who entered the Bitcoin mining sector during the 2015 downturn and later captured gains from the 2017 bull cycle, has emphasized the disciplined approach required in trading.
He has acknowledged that early successes were largely attributable to favorable market conditions rather than proprietary skill, a realization that prompted more rigorous study of trading mechanics after experiencing mixed results across numerous portfolio investments. Despite anticipated bearish signals at resistance levels, the prevailing bull market thesis has led strategists to avoid short positions in favor of maintaining long exposure until definitive reversal patterns emerge.
On-Chain Metrics Flash First Bullish Signal in Ten Months
The recent price stabilization coincides with notable shifts in blockchain-derived analytics.
Ki Young Ju, chief executive of CryptoQuant, has declared the conclusion of Bitcoin’s 2026 bear market following the first positive reading on the firm’s Bull/Bear Market Cycle Indicator since early October 2025. The metric, which aggregates multiple on-chain profitability measures including the Market Value to Realized Value ratio, Net Unrealized Profit/Loss, and Spent Output Profit Ratio, registered a value of 0.042 as of late August, crossing into positive territory for the first time in ten months.
This reading stands in sharp contrast to the extreme bearish conditions observed on February 5, when the indicator bottomed at -1.244 as Bitcoin traded near $60,000. The transition from sustained negative readings to positive values historically correlates with broader bull market recoveries, echoing similar patterns witnessed during early 2023.
Nevertheless, some market observers caution that current liquidity conditions may prove insufficient to fully support a sustained macroscopic trend reversal, suggesting that volume confirmation and capital inflows will remain critical variables in validating the emerging bullish thesis.
