Gate Update: Stock Copy Trading Goes Live, BitGo Partnership Secured, And Platform Inflows Hit $372M

Gate is having a busy week. The exchange has just launched stock copy trading across 12,500 instruments, sealed a strategic security partnership with BitGo in the US market, and released a mid-year wealth management report showing resilient AUM amid a tough first half for crypto. These developments point to a platform pushing hard on institutional credibility, product breadth, and user accessibility all at once — and the rest of this week’s updates tell much the same story.

Gate Launches Stock Copy Trading with 70,000 USDT Debut Campaign

Gate Stocks has officially rolled out copy trading covering US, Hong Kong, and Korean stocks plus ETFs — 12,500 instruments in total. Users can follow lead traders and mirror real stock positions in real time, with fractional share trading from as little as 0.01 shares. The platform uses a high-water mark (HWM) profit-sharing model, meaning lead traders only collect new profit shares once copy traders surpass their previous cumulative net profit peak. A launch campaign running through August 13 offers a 70,000 USDT prize pool split between lead traders and copy traders, with loss subsidies for first-time participants.

Gate US Partners with BitGo for Institutional-Grade Custody

Gate US announced a strategic partnership with BitGo to strengthen its asset protection and compliance framework. The collaboration enhances Gate US’s secure custody architecture, risk controls, and platform resilience. Gate US currently holds Money Transmission Licenses in 36 states, operates across 47 US jurisdictions, and holds regulatory approvals or registrations in Malta, the Bahamas, Japan, Australia, and Dubai.

Mid-Year Wealth Management Report: Stable AUM, Standout Dual Investment Returns

Gate’s 2026 Wealth Management Mid-Year Report reflects cautious but steady investor behavior. With BTC and ETH declining 33.1% and 47.1% respectively in H1, demand shifted toward flexible, liquid products. Simple Earn maintained a stable AUM of 2.0 billion USDT, with users moving toward Flexible products. The Dual Investment 0-day Dip Sniper strategy delivered an APY of up to 295% against a market average of 166%, and the Interstellar Hedge (USDT) Quant Fund returned 18.7% cumulatively. Korean equities surged to represent around 75% of total stock holdings by end of June, led by SK Hynix.

Record Net Inflows and Metals Derivatives Strength

Gate recorded over $372.51 million in net inflows over the past seven days per DefiLlama data, ranking first among all global centralized exchanges. On the derivatives side, Gate’s Gold (XAU) futures open interest reached approximately $238 million, placing second globally, while Tether Gold (XAUT) open interest stood at around $118 million, ranking third. Silver (XAG) futures open interest also ranked among the top two industry-wide, even as silver prices dipped 4.29% to $57.37 over 24 hours. Gate pioneered metals perpetual futures and CFD trading, covering gold, silver, and platinum with 24/7 USDT-settled trading.

New Tokenized Securities, Leveraged Futures, and Global Stock Coverage

The Gate gStocks section added nine new tokenized securities for spot trading — including SNXXG (2X Long SNDK Daily ETF), CRWVG (CoreWeave), QNTG (Quantinuum), and TQQQG (ProShares UltraPro QQQ) — all fully backed 1:1 by underlying assets, with a Phase 3 trading event offering a 50,000 SNDKG prize pool through July 30. The Gate Futures Stock section simultaneously launched seven new perpetual futures contracts with 1–20x leverage tied to leveraged ETFs for Microsoft, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Alphabet, Tesla, and Nvidia. Meanwhile, as market sentiment shifts away from high-valuation tech, Gate notes that industrial machinery stocks — including Caterpillar (+0.16%), Arm (-1.13%), and General Electric (-0.61%) — have shown relative resilience. Gate gStocks supports 24/7 trading with investments starting from 1 USDT and fractional share trading across 12,500+ global equities.

US Earnings Season and Stock Market Moves

With major US companies — Tesla, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, and AMD — reporting Q2 earnings, Gate launched two overlapping campaigns. The Stock Earnings Trading Season runs through August 7, offering 100,000 USDT in stock rewards through leaderboard competitions. The Crazy Wednesday campaign (through July 26) adds mystery box prizes including Tesla merchandise, fixed-term USDT products with APRs up to 100% for new users, and staking products for BTC, ETH, and SOL at up to 16% APR. Sector rotation also continued across US equities, with Cleveland-Cliffs (CLF, +15.87%), Medpace Holdings (MEDP, +15.06%), and IMAX (+11.98%) among the week’s top gainers on Gate’s platform, which covers 10,000+ US stocks across NYSE, Nasdaq, and other major exchanges.

Korean Stocks Surge; Jersey Mike’s IPO Access Opens July 27

Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East drove crude oil prices higher and sent South Korean renewable energy stocks rallying. SK Eternix jumped 23.87% to $51.94 on Gate, while SK Hynix rose 3.77% to $1,284.41. Gate’s SKHX futures open interest reached $38.16 million with 24-hour volume topping $105.90 million. On the IPO front, Gate IPO Access will open subscription for Jersey Mike’s (JMKE) on July 27, with a reference offering price of $21–25 per share, minimum subscription of 100 USDT or GUSD, and allocated shares expected to be credited on July 30 with no lock-up period.

Gate Institutional Strengthens Infrastructure Amid AI Monetization Focus

As Q2 earnings season brings AI capital expenditure and cloud growth into sharp focus, Gate Institutional has continued expanding its multi-asset trading infrastructure. In Q2 2026, OTC Loan lending volume increased 43.61% year-over-year, while margin lending volume rose 14.33% quarter-over-quarter. The platform also launched SBE (Simple Binary Encoding) market data services and introduced real-time contract Book Ticker streaming to support quantitative strategy execution.

SOL Staking Hits Record; ANTFUN Launchpool Near $100M; GUSD at 7.96% Combined APR

Gate’s SOL Staking product crossed 659,400 SOL staked with a reference APR of 7.93%, a new platform record. The ongoing 367th ANTFUN Launchpool has accumulated nearly $96.93 million in combined staking value across USDT, GUSD, and ANTFUN pools, with the ANTFUN pool offering up to 111.69% APR. GUSD subscriptions have reached $216 million at a 3.8% subscription APR, with combined Launchpool staking pushing estimated annualized returns to 7.96%. A zero-loss fast redemption feature is also available for GUSD minted via USDT, USDC, or USD1.

Gate Card Expands with 8% Cashback and Global Payment Upgrades

Gate Card has expanded its global payment capabilities, now fully integrated with Visa and Mastercard networks and compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cardholders can earn up to 8% cashback in USDT or GT, with no application, annual, or monthly fees.

Platform Campaigns, Esports Predictions, and AI Strategy

Gate Alpha’s Hot Tokens Trading Competition Phase 54 is live with a $40,000 airdrop pool across SOL, ETH, BSC, Base, SUI, and more. The Convert Newbie Exclusive campaign offers up to 102,000 USDT in rewards through July 30, alongside the Convert Scratch & Win Phase 8 with cash prizes up to 888 USDT. The Esports Trading Season continues through August 10 with a 200,000 USDT prize pool, with the LPL matchup between JD Gaming and Anyone’s Legend drawing particularly high prediction trading activity on Gate Polymarket — the first CEX to integrate Polymarket directly. Finally, Gate CEO Dr. Han outlined the platform’s AI direction in a Gatecast interview, describing an “AI + human intelligence” model and highlighting Gate AI, GateClaw, and Gate for AI Agent as the pillars of its Intelligent Web3 strategy, while noting AI’s role in lowering barriers for the 10,000+ DApps and millions of crypto assets users navigate today.
