Gate Update: From The Singapore Grand Prix To Stock Event Contracts, A Week Of Racing And Record Rewards

Gate’s week began on the grid in Singapore and ends with bigger prizes ahead. At the 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, Gate hosted VIP hospitality from October 9 to 11 as an official sponsor and long-standing partner of Oracle Red Bull Racing. Dozens of global clients, key partners and special guests watched from the Paddock Club suites as Max Verstappen started from pole and won the race. Gate’s branding appeared on the car’s wings and nose, the drivers’ helmets and the team’s race suits. The weekend followed a TOKEN2049 Singapore programme that included a handprint ceremony with Verstappen and Isack Hadjar, and the “RACING THE FUTURE Vol 3” event with Team Principal Laurent Mekies.

The next challenge is on the trading side. Gate WCTC S9 drew over 21,000 registrations and 2,454 squads in its first 24 hours. Its super prize pool of up to 6,000,000 USDT unlocks as more eligible traders join, and the competition spans Spot, ETF, Convert, Stocks, Futures and TradFi. It runs from October 26 to November 25 (08:00 UTC), with up to 3,200,000 USDT for squads and up to 400,000 USDT for individuals. Before that, Gate’s Event Contracts trading event runs from October 11 to October 21 (00:00 UTC). It rewards new users, daily traders and top competitors, with the winner eligible for up to 2,200 USDT. The event also highlights Gate’s position as the first platform to offer Stock Event Contracts, extending short-term Up/Down trades from crypto to traditional equities.

Here is the rest of the week’s news.

Market Position

Gate’s numbers held up well. DefiLlama data shows Gate among the top three centralized exchanges by 24-hour net inflows, at $29.42 million, behind Binance ($359.27 million) and Bitstamp ($32 million). DefiLlama also puts Gate’s 24-hour futures open interest at about $14.1 billion, again in the global top three.

New Listings and Rewards

Gate is the first exchange to list Incentiv (CENT), an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain secured by Proof-of-Work. CENT/USDT spot trading opens at 09:00 UTC on October 12, with Convert following at 10:00 UTC. HODLer Airdrop Phase 343 offers 34,482,759 CENT, fully unlocked, to users who have completed Identity Verification and hold at least 1 GT, with rewards based on each user’s share of GT holdings at the snapshot. Incentiv offers account abstraction, flexible network fee payment and a native DEX, and it is expanding into AI Agent use cases.

Futures traders also get a new round of rewards. Gate Futures Points Airdrop Round 153 runs from 10:00 to 15:59 UTC on October 12, first come, first served. Pool 1 requires a balance meeting a threshold of 120–90 points (decreasing) and 15 points to redeem 0.013 SPYG. Pool 2 requires at least 40 points and 20 points to redeem a 100 USDT position voucher.

Stocks and Tokenized Securities

Gate’s stock offerings drew attention this week. Tesla (TSLA) closed at $382.70 (+2.05%) and SpaceX (SPCX) at $162.57 (+1.24%). According to CoinGlass, 24-hour open interest in Gate’s SPCX perpetual futures reached $148 million, among the top two in the industry. TSLA perpetuals reached $19.81 million, among the top three. Gate Futures Stock now covers equities in the U.S., Hong Kong, Korea and Japan, with leverage up to 75x. Its new Innovation Section launches with 40 popular stock perpetuals, including CXMT, Unitree Robotics and CATL.

On Gate gStocks, tech and energy assets led the gains. AXT Inc. (AXTIG) rose 2.70% to $69.32, Lumentum (LITEG) gained 2.40% to $1,115.14 and Chevron (CVXG) added 2.30% to $211.45. gStocks tokens are backed 1:1 by underlying stocks, trade 24/7, support fractional investing from 1 USDT and sit inside a unified account.

Gate also completed cash dividend distributions for 145 U.S. stocks and ETFs, including TSM, MRK, CRM, MO, QQQ and NXPI. The dividends covered payment dates from October 5 to 9, were settled automatically in USDT based on users’ holdings and required no action from users.

The Season 8 “Crypto Prophet” campaign, part of WCTC S9, has a total prize pool of 64,522 USDT, made up of an 18,876 USDT points pool and a 45,655 USDT lucky prize pool.
