Gate Update: CXMT Futures Launch On 470% IPO Surge, Exchange Leads CEX Inflows With $288M

Gate had a busy Sunday, with headlines spanning a dramatic semiconductor IPO play, record-setting capital inflows, and a precious metals market flexing fresh muscle. As ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) made its debut on the Shanghai Stock Exchange STAR Market with an opening surge of over 470%, Gate moved quickly to launch CXMT perpetual futures, giving global users a way to trade price exposure to one of China’s most-watched semiconductor listings through a digital asset platform.

Meanwhile, DefiLlama data confirmed Gate’s position at the top of the global CEX rankings for 7-day net inflows, with $287.98 million recorded over the past week — the highest figure among all centralized exchanges. On the commodities side, Gate’s precious metals futures saw gold (XAU) reach an intraday high of $4,116.37, with open interest in both XAU and XAG futures placing Gate among the top two platforms in the industry. Below is a roundup of the rest of the day’s updates.

Staking & Yield

Gate’s 367th Launchpool cycle, running July 21 through August 4, is centered on ANTFUN, with a shared reward pool of 3,756,574 ANTFUN across three staking options. The USDT pool is offering an estimated 5.38% APR on nearly 64 million USDT staked, while the GUSD pool combines a 3.96% pool APR with a 3.80% subscription yield for an estimated total return of 7.76%. The ANTFUN-exclusive pool stands out with an estimated 87.42% APR. Alongside Launchpool 367, the ongoing SLX cycle (Phase 366) supports BTC, ETH, and SLX staking, with SLX offering a peak APR of 65.89%.

On the stablecoin side, Gate GUSD total subscriptions have crossed $217 million. The platform has upgraded its flexible Treasury product, offering 3.8% APR with daily earnings and no lockups. New users can access a limited-time 100% APR promotional rate. The product accepts USDT, USDC, and USD1 at a 1:1 conversion to GUSD, and a no-loss instant redemption feature allows users to convert back to their original currency in real time within the redemption quota, with fees waived.

New Listings & Trading Products

Gate listed AEON (AEON) for spot trading on July 27 at 11:00 UTC, with Convert trading following at 12:00 UTC.

For users drawn to short-term directional plays, Gate’s Event Contracts product — focused on BTC and ETH price-direction forecasting over windows of 5 minutes to 4 hours — is running a new user campaign starting July 27. The first 4,000 users to post a loss on their opening trade will receive compensation capped at $5, drawing from a $20,000 prize pool. Users must register before trading to qualify.

Prediction Markets & Esports

Gate Polymarket’s esports segment continues to build volume. The BNK FEARX vs. Gen.G League of Legends matchup is currently the focal point, with cumulative trading volume exceeding $138,000 and Gen.G holding roughly 68% of prediction support. Gate’s broader Esports Trading Season, running July 20 through August 10, carries a 200,000 USDT prize pool and includes newcomer rewards, weekly tasks, and a prediction leaderboard. Gate remains the first centralized exchange to integrate Polymarket, accessible via the Alpha section of the Gate App.

Equities & Global Stocks

Gate’s equities business continued to expand on multiple fronts. The platform completed cash dividend distributions for 51 U.S. stocks, including Micron Technology, Oracle, Disney, Philip Morris, TotalEnergies, and Comcast, with payouts made in USDT on a pro-rata basis. The distribution spanned sectors from semiconductors and energy to healthcare and media.

In Hong Kong markets, several small-cap names saw sharp moves on July 27. YesAsia Holdings gained 22.02% to HK$3.38, CHUNCHENG THERMAL rose 20.00% to HK$1.80, and YONGLIANFENG HOLDINGS climbed 18.51% to HK$0.96. In Korean equities, SK hynix rose 3.24%, trading at approximately $1,243.86. Gate Stocks supports over 12,500 global equity and ETF assets across U.S., Hong Kong, and Korean markets, with 24/7 trading, fractional share options from 0.01 shares, and USDT-based settlement.

Reinforcing its equities ambitions, Gate announced the appointment of Lucas Sum as Head of Market Development, Equities. Sum brings close to a decade of experience in multi-asset brokerage and wealth management, with previous roles at Longbridge Securities and Moomoo Singapore (Futu Holdings), where he led market expansion and partnership strategy. In his new role, Sum will oversee Gate’s commercial growth, ecosystem partnerships, and global equities market development.
