Gate Update: 667% Spot Volume Growth, 37 US State Licenses, And A Full Week Of Launches

Gate closed the week with a set of developments pointing to concurrent growth in market activity, regulatory standing, and product breadth. CryptoQuant’s September Volume Comeback report named Gate the fastest-growing major platform by 30-day spot trading volume, with growth reaching 667% — well ahead of competing exchanges — and daily spot volume hitting approximately $5.1 billion on August 21, placing the exchange third across the market.

On the regulatory side, Gate US secured a Massachusetts Money Transmitter License, bringing its total U.S. state-level authorizations to 37 and extending service coverage to 47 states and territories. Macro market conditions also put Gate’s commodities derivatives in focus: a sharp rally in international crude oil prices drove BZUSDT 24-hour futures trading volume up 350.98% to $22.38 million, ranking first in the industry by volume growth rate, with WTI futures (CLUSDT) recording a concurrent 138.41% volume increase. Here is a full account of this week’s announcements.

Derivatives scale and open interest

DefiLlama data places Gate’s 24-hour futures open interest above $11.47 billion, ranking the exchange in the top three among centralized exchanges. The same CryptoQuant report that documented spot volume recovery also recorded Gate’s 30-day perpetual futures volume growth at 305%, ranking third among major exchanges, as daily perpetual futures volume market-wide approached $336 billion on August 21 — the highest level since March.

New listings: EMBER, CATE, STONK

Three assets entered Gate’s trading environment this week. EMBER and CATE both launched as USDT-M perpetual futures: EMBER with 1–10x leverage, CATE with a wider range of up to 1–20x. Both come with Trading Bots and Copy Trading support. On the spot side, STONK/USDT went live on September 14, with Convert trading and withdrawals opening within 24 hours.

Launchpool: MCAT, CP, and upcoming FOLD

Gate’s Launchpool has two active pools and one opening shortly. The MCAT pool distributes 2 million MCAT in total rewards (approximately 842,000 USDT), with APRs currently reaching 1,601.33% in the MCAT staking pool. The CP pool offers 5 million CP in rewards (approximately 64,000 USDT), with APRs reaching 53.67%. A third pool for FOLD — offering approximately 2.03 million FOLD (approximately 94,800 USDT) — is set to open soon, with estimated APRs reaching 158.71% for the native token staking pool.

Prediction Market: Big Five Leagues and Season 4 close

Gate’s Prediction Market is running its Big Five Leagues hub this week, with fixtures including Leeds United vs. Newcastle United (Premier League), Villarreal vs. Real Betis (LaLiga), and Inter vs. Udinese (Serie A). Event Points Season 4 closes today at 10:00 UTC with a total prize pool of 27,499 USDT — including a 21,999 USDT Points Pool — and the top leaderboard participant eligible for 8,249.7 USDT. Season 5 launches upon settlement. The Trading Rewards Campaign, offering scratch cards for qualifying daily trading volume of 200 USDT, continues until September 22.

Stock trading: U.S. dividends and Japanese equity activity

Gate’s stock platform completed automatic USDT dividend settlements for 106 U.S. equities this week, covering holdings with payment dates from September 8–11. Distributions spanned sectors including technology, energy, healthcare, and financial services, with Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Eli Lilly, and Walmart among the eligible names. On the Japanese side, Gate’s approximately 300-stock Japan coverage saw active trading on September 14, with Land Co. (8918) rising 10.00%, Kobe Bussan (3038) up 6.35%, and SHIFT (3697) gaining 6.05%. Gate’s total global equity and ETF coverage now exceeds 12,800 assets across U.S., Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korean markets, with Zero-Fee Mode available for U.S. stock trading and fractional share purchases supported from 0.01 shares.
