Gate Introduces Unified USD Order Book To Consolidate Liquidity And Streamline Trading For Dollar-Pegged Assets

Cryptocurrency exchange Gate unveiled its Unified USD Order Book, a structural enhancement that folds multiple dollar-pegged currencies into a single spot trading marketplace. The new mechanism channels liquidity from USD, USDC, USD1, RLUSD, and other dollar-denominated quote assets into one consolidated order book, with the stated goal of deepening market depth, improving liquidity, and boosting execution efficiency. Traders can reach the feature by updating the Gate mobile application to version 8.35 or later, or by logging in through the web-based platform.

When interacting with a trading pair such as BTC/USD, participants may choose from supported quote assets—including USD, USDC, USD1, or RLUSD—based on the contents of their portfolios. Orders entered with any of these assets flow into the same centralized BTC/USD order book for matching, while price levels and order depth are presented uniformly in USD. The system is capable of pairing buyers and sellers who have selected different quote currencies, handling asset conversion, clearing, and settlement automatically so that users are not required to perform manual currency swaps.

User Interface and Operational Framework

During live trading, participants simply select their preferred quote asset within the order panel before submitting a trade. The platform debits the chosen asset from the user’s account, and all corresponding figures in balances, open orders, and trade histories are displayed in that same currency. Trading pair names and pricing units adhere to a standardized XXX/USD format across the board. The range of available quote assets may shift depending on geographic location, account type, or specific trading pair, and the exchange has signaled that additional stablecoins pegged one-to-one with the US dollar could be added going forward. At present, the functionality is confined to spot trading and does not encompass isolated or cross-margin spot markets; users seeking leveraged exposure may continue to use the designated margin trading sections.

This unified model stands in contrast to the conventional arrangement in which separate stablecoins each command their own quote markets. By drawing multiple dollar-denominated assets into a single venue, the exchange allows market participants to view aggregated order depth and consolidated market data without toggling between narrowly related quote markets. From an operational standpoint, the architecture also assists in optimizing liquidity deployment and laying down a more coherent market foundation for transactions involving various dollar-based assets.

As stablecoins take on a progressively larger role in digital asset trading and settlement, closer alignment among dollar-denominated stablecoins has become a key trajectory for exchanges looking to strengthen their USD asset offerings. By merging multiple dollar-pegged quote assets into one matching pool, Gate aims to raise trading efficiency through better liquidity allocation and refined trading mechanisms, while furnishing supplementary infrastructure to support continued growth of the dollar ecosystem.

The rollout of the Unified USD Order Book marks a further product advancement in Gate’s continuing effort to build out its dollar ecosystem and multi-asset trading infrastructure. The development tightens the link between USD asset management and digital asset trading, reinforcing the service chain that stretches from asset custody to routine trading activity. Looking ahead, the exchange plans to keep developing its dollar ecosystem and multi-asset trading framework, broaden trading scenarios and use cases for dollar-denominated assets, and refine the multi-asset trading experience through ongoing product innovation, with the aim of delivering a more efficient and seamless one-stop multi-asset trading environment for users worldwide.
