NFT Market is not in its best shape, with google search trending down for months, but one of its movers – Yuga Labs, is blasting from all cylinders this week. Yuga Labs is undoubtedly a major player in the NFT space, having completed several high-profile deals and setting records in terms of price and volume.
Yuga Labs is the company behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) ecosystem and owners of CryptoPunks and Meebits IPs always have the media attention, with their BAKC logo alleged steal sparking controversial debate last week gets back on the positive note.

The person who was victorious in the Golden Key NFT contest after having the best performance in the Dookey Dash game connected to the BAYC platform has disposed of the token for 1,000 Ether, which is over 1.6 million dollars.
On February 16th, Kyle Jackson, who is commonly referred to as Mongraal online, was granted a key after successfully attaining 928,522 points in the Yuga Labs sponsored Dookey Dash tournament.
On February 27th, Mongraal revealed that he had arranged to hand over the key to Adam Weitsman, the owner of BAYC NFT and the CEO of Upstate Shredding, a scrap metal shredding company.
The secret to what Yuga Labs holds is hidden behind the Golden Key, though what lies beyond has yet to be divulged.
TwelveFold by Yuga Labs on Bitcoin
On Feb. 28, Yuga Labs made it known through Twitter that they would be offering 300 tokenized computer-generated artworks for auction as part of the TwelveFold collection. The sale will take place in the coming days.
Yuga Labs discussed in a blog post the principles that underlie the collection, which are linked to mathematics, time and the Bitcoin blockchain, using the Ordinals protocol.
The TwelveFold artwork system is localized around a 12×12 grid, and is described as a visual allegory for mapping Bitcoin blockchain data, as per the post;
Yuga Labs is capitalizing on the current hype surrounding Bitcoin NFTs, commonly known as Ordinals. Ordinals protocol is responsible for doubling the Bitcoin transactions fees, and already amounted to a million dollars in earned fees for Bitcoin miners.
- Yuga Labs, the studio behind the blue-chip NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club, has been accused of stealing the logo of BORED Ape Kennel Club from a children’s drawing book. The logo is a close recreation of a wolf skull drawing guide, which was published by “Easy Drawing Guides” on April 5, 2021. Yuga Labs applied a trademark to the skull image that did not belong to them, but the guide publisher noted that the skull drawing was protected under the Terms and Conditions of the book and Yuga Labs did not have a license or permission to use it for the logo.
