DJ Steve Aoki joins The Sandbox Metaverse
Well-known DJ Steve Aoki is entering the virtual gaming world of The Sandbox.
Together, they will issue a collection of 3,333 randomly-generated NFT avatars featuring more than a hundred hand-crafted traits. Some of the designs in the collection are one-of-one editions.
“The Steve Aoki Avatars” will be playable inside The Sandbox Season 3. However, the company has not shared the exact launch date yet.
Holders will be able to “become” Steve Aoki in the Metaverse. Moreover, the ownership unlocks the possibility of earning The Sandbox’s token $SAND and getting access to unique functionalities on the platform. Additionally, NFT holders will have the opportunity to join exclusive events hosted by Steve Aoki in the Metaverse.
The collection will be released in three parts. Whitelisted users will be eligible to access the minting on July 25, while the public mint starts on July 27. Individuals will be able to mint a maximum of 4 avatars per wallet.
The Sandbox is known for its partnerships with celebrities and brands. Earlier this month, the Metaverse company announced the collaboration with the most recognized skateboarder in the world, Tony Hawk. The two will create the Metaverse’s biggest skatepark in The Sandbox, coming later this year.
