Bitget Rolls Out MT5-Linked CFD Sub-Accounts To Streamline Multi-Strategy Trading For Professional Users

In Brief

Bitget launches CFD Sub-Accounts for multi-strategy MT5 trading, giving pro traders segregated positions and centralized oversight.

Bitget Rolls Out MT5-Linked CFD Sub-Accounts To Streamline Multi-Strategy Trading For Professional Users

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget rolled out Sub-Accounts for contracts-for-difference (CFD) trading. The new functionality permits professional traders, proprietary trading groups, and high-net-worth clients to execute multiple trading approaches across separate MT5 accounts that are all linked to a single main account. Positions and trade execution remain isolated within each account, while oversight of all CFD activity is consolidated under one administrative umbrella.

The feature addresses the needs of traders who implement several strategies simultaneously, particularly those employing Expert Advisors (EAs) and algorithmic trading systems. As trading operations grow in complexity, deploying strategies with differing timeframes and risk characteristics within a single MT5 account can obscure the separation of positions, margin utilization, and performance tracking. Bitget’s CFD Sub-Accounts allow market participants to designate individual strategies to distinct MT5 accounts, maintaining clear boundaries between holdings and execution logic.

Account holders may generate up to five CFD sub-accounts by default, each assigned its own MT5 identification number. These sub-accounts carry over the KYC verification and risk-control settings from the main account, which removes the requirement to undergo repeated identity checks when establishing each new account. Consequently, traders can assemble an account framework tailored to different strategic approaches more rapidly, while ensuring clear segregation between them.

Operational Structure and Centralized Oversight

The main account operates as the central hub for every connected CFD sub-account. From one dashboard, users can track real-time equity, margin ratios, and order histories across all linked accounts. Password governance is also consolidated, with the primary account maintaining the ability to reset both trading and read-only passwords for its subordinate accounts. Margin call and liquidation alerts are routed to the email and application notifications registered to the pertinent sub-account, enabling teams to react promptly to risk events affecting specific accounts.

“Professional traders often run several strategies at the same time, and managing all of them can get complicated very quickly,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget in a written statement. “Sub-Accounts enable users to keep those strategies separate while managing them from one place. As we expand Bitget’s CFD offering, we want to make it easier for professional traders to manage more complex setups without adding more operational friction,” she added.

This development further strengthens Bitget’s CFD infrastructure as a component of its Universal Exchange strategy. By merging independent MT5 trading environments with centralized account administration, Sub-Accounts grant users increased control over the organization of different strategies and market positions. The capability reinforces Bitget’s broader expansion into traditional financial markets, providing participants with additional resources to manage various forms of trading activity within the Bitget ecosystem.
