Bitget Broadens Proof Of Reserves As Over 15 Assets Become Verifiable

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget announced that it has upgraded its Proof of Reserves (PoR) system, extending verification coverage from four cryptocurrencies to 19 major assets. The move substantially widens the share of user holdings covered by the exchange’s reserve verification infrastructure and reflects a broader industry push toward verifiable asset custody.
The expansion applies to both platform-level reserve disclosures and the exchange’s personal Proof of Assets verification tool. Through the upgraded PoR page, users can now view the reserve ratio and total amount of user assets for each supported asset, assess whether reserves are sufficient, and examine how user holdings are distributed across different public blockchains. The covered assets include BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, SOL, XRP, LTC, ADA, DOGE, LINK, NEAR, SUI, as well as newer or less conventional listings such as TAO, XAUT, ONDO, HYPE, PI, and USDGO.
Verification Beyond Core Holdings
The rationale behind the upgrade is straightforward: as exchanges broaden their asset offerings, reserve transparency mechanisms must keep pace. Bitget’s stated aim is to shift verification from a safeguard limited to core cryptocurrencies into a standard layer across its ecosystem.
Personal verification has been expanded across the same 19 assets. Using Merkle Tree technology, users can independently confirm whether their individual holdings were included in a given PoR snapshot, with detailed audit records — including Merkle hashes and snapshot data — available for those seeking deeper verification. For assets outside the scope of a particular audit, or where personal records have not yet been generated, the Proof of Assets interface displays notices to help users interpret results accurately.
Bitget has published PoR reports monthly since launching the practice in December 2022. As of August 2026, the platform had released 45 consecutive reports, with the latest showing an aggregate reserve ratio of 122%, comfortably above the 1:1 standard. Users can also download snapshot data and validate records using publicly available methods.
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, framed the expansion as a natural evolution of the platform’s transparency framework, noting that verification needs to grow alongside the diversity of assets users hold — from four to 19 — so that more users gain direct visibility rather than having to rely on the exchange’s assurances alone.
The PoR expansion sits alongside Bitget’s Protection Fund and broader security infrastructure, which the company says are designed to make security increasingly measurable and verifiable as the UEX model brings a wider range of assets and markets into a single trading environment.
