Beatles’ drummer Ringo Starr to release an NFT collection
The Beatles’ legendary drummer Ringo Starr will create an NFT collection dubbed “Ringo Starr NFT Collection | The Creative Mind of a Beatle.”
Ringo is now 81 years old, and he is the first Beatle to enter Web3 space.
“The Creative Mind of a Beatle” features a total of 20 NFTs. It includes two paintings (Galaxy One and Galaxy Two), a self-portrait (Bandana Man), and two hybrid artworks (Starr Art and Crash).
Ringo produced exclusive drum compositions to go along with each animated artwork.
NFT holders will receive 25”x25” canvas prints signed by Starr himself. More than that, fans will get access to RingoLand, a virtual gallery of Ringo’s works. The musician might even meet individuals in the virtual world based on the Spatial Metaverse platform.
“This new technology is so far out it’s inspired me and I loved creating these NFTs combining my art and my music. Who’d have thought I would be spreading Peace and Love in the Metaverse,” said the drummer.
Ringo Starr plans to sell the NFTs during an event hosted by Julien’s Auctions on June 13. The bidding will start at $1,000. Starr will donate profits from sales to his charity organization, The Lotus Foundation. It supports projects that improve people’s health, social welfare, and lives of animals in need.
