Animoca Brands And Visa Advance AI-Driven Commerce With Agent-Based Payment Solutions
In Brief
Animoca Brands and Visa launch AI-powered commerce features enabling secure agent-led transactions, personalized rewards, and smarter digital shopping.

Animoca Brands introduced a live pilot of new AI-based commerce features created in partnership with Visa for its AI agent platform, Minds by Animoca Brands. The initiative is designed to explore how AI agents can support digital commerce by helping users find relevant rewards, make purchasing choices, and complete transactions securely within predefined user settings.
The pilot includes two AI agent capabilities powered by Visa Intelligent Commerce (VIC) and Visa’s cardholder rewards and benefits directory. Through these features, Minds AI agents can identify suitable Visa offers and assist with purchases at selected merchants in Hong Kong, beginning with the Bruce Lee Club Ltd eShop.
Minds by Animoca Brands is an AI agent platform that allows users to create, manage, and enhance autonomous digital assistants with limited technical requirements. Through its Bazaar marketplace, users can add new applications, tools, and skills to their agents, enabling collaboration between specialized AI systems to handle more complex tasks.
AI Agents Expand the Role of Digital Commerce
The integration with Visa Intelligent Commerce expands the role of AI assistants beyond traditional search and recommendation functions. The technology enables AI agents to complete transactions on behalf of users while following approved preferences, spending limits, and security requirements. The system uses Visa’s payment infrastructure, including tokenized payment credentials, authentication measures, transaction controls, and fraud prevention mechanisms, to support secure agent-led purchases while keeping users in control of approval conditions.
The new rewards capability allows Minds AI agents to identify relevant Visa Hong Kong and China offers based on eligible cards, user preferences, and shopping intentions. Instead of manually reviewing available promotions, users can rely on AI agents to locate suitable benefits, assess potential value, and integrate rewards into the purchasing process. The approach aims to create a more personalized shopping experience while preserving user decision-making authority.
Animoca Brands stated that the development reflects its focus on the growth of agent-based commerce, where AI systems can assist with discovering benefits and completing transactions under clearly defined permissions. The company said the collaboration with Visa represents a step toward connecting emerging AI-driven commerce models with established payment networks.
The new capabilities are being demonstrated at the Animoca Brands booth during LEAP East, the first Asia-Pacific edition of the LEAP technology conference, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 8 to 10 July 2026. The demonstration includes an example of an AI-assisted purchase process featuring the Bruce Lee Club Ltd eShop.
