The Bug Bounty Program is a program provided by various websites and software providers that allows people to be acknowledged and rewarded for discovering bugs, particularly those connected to exploits and vulnerabilities.

The rules of the game are established between the owner of the software product (the target of study) and an outside researcher who will examine the object and identify flaws. The breadth and substance of these regulations may alter, as may the format itself.
