Gate Launches Automated Yield Feature For Stocks And CFD Accounts To Enhance Capital Efficiency
In Brief
Gate launches an automated yield feature for Stocks and CFD accounts, enabling eligible balances to earn returns while remaining available for trading.

Cryptocurrency exchange Gate introduced a new interest-earning feature for its Stocks and CFD accounts, allowing eligible account balances to generate yield automatically while remaining available for trading activities. The launch makes Gate one of the first digital asset trading platforms to offer automated returns on assets held within these account types without requiring users to lock or stake funds.
The feature applies to USDT balances in Stocks accounts and USDx balances in CFD accounts. Interest is calculated separately for each account type using a tiered structure, with annualized reference rates reaching up to 3.00% APR. Yield generation begins when the balance in an individual account exceeds 1,000 USDT or USDx, and applicable rates are displayed on the platform and may vary according to market conditions.
According to Gate, eligible balances are automatically included in daily calculations once the feature is activated. Rewards are distributed to users’ Spot Accounts on a daily basis, while funds remain fully accessible for stock trading, IPO subscriptions, CFD transactions, or transfers between accounts. The company stated that yield generation continues without disrupting normal trading activity.
Expansion of Multi-Asset Trading and Traditional Finance Services
The launch forms part of Gate’s broader efforts to expand its traditional finance offerings. The platform’s Gate Stocks service provides access to equities listed in the United States, Hong Kong, and South Korea, covering more than 12,500 stocks and exchange-traded funds. Through its Unified Account system, users can invest in global equities using USDT and access features such as fractional share trading, dividend eligibility, and stock transfer services for select markets.
Gate has also expanded its CFD offering to include asset classes such as equities, indices, foreign exchange, commodities, and precious metals. The platform supports round-the-clock trading and USDT-based settlement, while its Unified Account infrastructure enables access to multiple markets through a single account.
The company said the introduction of automated yield generation for Stocks and CFD accounts represents another step in the development of its multi-asset ecosystem. The initiative is designed to improve capital efficiency by allowing eligible assets to generate returns while remaining available for investment and trading activities, as Gate continues to broaden its range of financial and wealth management services.
